All Teams check-in will begin at 6:00am, Saturday August 2nd
All Meats must be from a USDA Approved Source
Cooks Meeting will be at 8:00am (08/02/2023)

Backyard Meat Inspections will begin at check-in
Live BBQs should be attended to at all times
Any Wood, Gas, Pellet BBQ’s are allowed.
Grease containers will be provided near BBQ area, no ground dumping!
Ash containers will be provided and are for ash only (No Trash)
A min 5 lb. charged fire extinguisher must be visible at each pit
All teams must leave their cook-site as clean as they found it
This is a family event, please use good taste in the display of all banners, etc.
Event held rain or shine / No refunds.
The contest will be governed by the Backyard Rules set forth by the Kansas City BBQ Society, copies of the rules can be requested by email.
